Welcome to the
homepage of the New England Faculty Development Consortium
(NEFDC). The NEFDC has as our mission the enhancement of
the teaching and learning process in colleges and
universities, through the professional development of
faculty and administrators. Our goal is to offer a variety
of resources to faculty, academic administrators, and
faculty and instructional development professionals in the
New England region and beyond.
The NEFDC sponsors two major annual events, a
fall conference for faculty and administrators providing
workshops and seminars on new
initiatives
in teaching and learning, and a spring conference focused
specifically on the needs of faculty and faculty developers.
The Exchange, the NEFDC newsletter, is published twice
annually, and provides reviews, articles and insights on the
field of faculty development. Members of the all-volunteer
Board of Directors are available for consulting and advice
to help member institutions meet their faculty development
goals.
Our Spring 2008 conference is entitled:
"Thinking Outside the Box: Teaching & Learning Beyond the
Classroom Walls"
This conference is co-sponsored by Northeastern University
Martha's Vineyard Summer Institute on Experiential Education
(MVSI), the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE)
and NEFDC and will be held on May 30, 2008 at the University
of Massachusetts Amherst.
