Moving from STEM to STEAM: What Really Works

PileckiTom Pilecki’s upbeat and entertaining keynote will address the fact and fiction surrounding the STEM to STEAM movement and will discuss successful STEAM projects from the field. A follow-up workshop will be offered later in the day entitled: “How to Generate STEAM: Authentic Integration and How It’s Done” This hands-on, practical workshop will help educators establish a formula for creating lessons that will assist in authentic integration of the arts into STEM and other areas of the curriculum.

Parking Information
Enter the Roger Williams University campus at the main gate, and follow the attached map to park in Lot 25, which is normally an employee lot. Walk down the steps of the parking lot, cross the street and proceed toward the center of the campus using the University Library clock tower as a landmark. The Global Heritage Hall is right across the street from the Library. NEFDC signs will help direct you to the parking lot, and to the Global Heritage Hall.

Conference Rates
NEFDC conferences are one-day events held in the New England area. A continental breakfast, hot buffet lunch, and wine and cheese poster session are included as part of the conference fee. Click here for the 2014 conference rates.
