The workshop is aimed at faculty, department chairs, general-education directors, and institutional leaders and planners. Individuals are welcome; institutional teams are encouraged. Appropriate for those just getting started in assessment and those with extensive experience. Appropriate for those who are behind the curve in developing assessment, who feel overwhelmed by an assessment process that is too complicated, or who want to fine-tune an assessment system that is essentially working well. Bring your current assessment plans and other relevant documents. The workshop will lead you through a process of reflecting on the assessment you have done so far, whether in the department or in general education. You will get specific feedback on your own assessment processes, find out what others are doing, view models of good practice, and emerge with suggestions for making your assessment more simple, more sustainable, and more effective for student learning. NOTE: Space is limited.
